Not all physical therapy is the same
What Makes Us Different?
Each of our patients gets one-on-one treatment time with the therapist or clinic aide. Our therapists only treat 2 patients every hour, and the clinic aide is always in attendance when a patient is exercising. Our staff is comprised of compassionate, active listeners. We empower and highly encourage therapists to treat his/her patients as needed. With experience and knowledge of exercise science, we craft a personal plan of care for each individual that enables you to become stronger and recover faster.

For her Doctoral research, Marylu took part in a dance injury research study along with the research team at the Harkness Center for Dance Injuries at NYU Langone Medical Center. This study included pre-professional and profession dancers of all genres and utilized a screening tool for assessing potential risks of injury in dancers.
Before a serious neck injury ended her first career, Marylu had been a successful professional ballet and theater dancer. Through that injury, she found a new calling in physical therapy and Marylu combines her past experiences into her holistic approach to treating her patients. Her thorough understanding of how the body moves combined with her individual journey of overcoming her own injury provides her with a unique set of skills.
Marylu has worked throughout the years in a variety of settings, also managing multiple outpatient orthopedic clinics for Hudson Physical Therapy and Kessler Rehabilitation Centers and is excited to utilize all of her experiences in these various settings to treat dance, gymnastic and other sports-related injuries. Marylu is very happy to be part of the highly skilled team here at Glen Rock Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine and is looking forward to this new chapter in her career.
